Got the Dot
22,000 Californians await a life-saving organ transplant of which 1,700 reside in Santa Clara County. Among them are children, teachers, and owners of local businesses. By ensuring that more people are registered as organ, eye and tissue donors, more lives can potentially be saved.
Supported by San Jose Vice Mayor, Magdalena Carrasco, Got the Dot serves as an opportunity for local businesses to celebrate patrons who are registered as donors. The pink dot on their driver’s license or ID card provides a discount or a special offer at participating businesses. For those who have not yet registered, this campaign offers an incentive to register and promotes conversations about how donation saves and heals lives.
