National Donor Sabbath
Organ and tissue donation heals lives and is a generous act supported by all major religions.
Donor Network West’s “Celebrating Faith, Hope and Life” program runs throughout the month of November. We encourage faith leaders to promote organ and tissue donation amongst their members by:
- Displaying our posters at their institution’s facilities
- Placing messages on donation on bulletins
- Inviting our speakers to share their donation story
- Hosting a donation registration table
Our work with faith leaders over the years has opened the hearts and minds of thousands who have said “yes” to donation. Their decision to register as donors gives hope to the thousands who are waiting for a second chance at life in Northern California and Nevada.
Some of the materials we publish include posters, bulletin inserts, and prayer cards.
