When and where are the 2021 Transplant Games?

To honor the journey coast to coast, registered athletes will compete in their hometowns and submit results on the Transplant Games website. Competitions can take place between April 1, 20201 and July 1, 2021.

Who can be an athlete at the games?

Any transplant recipient who has been post-transplant for at least nine months may participate in the Games. This includes allogenic bone marrow recipients, tissue recipients, and cornea recipients. Living donors as well as donor family members may also compete in select events.

Do I have to be an amazing athlete?

Of course not! People of all different skill levels compete in the Games. The meaning behind the Games is to celebrate recipients and honor their donors as well as to demonstrate that people with transplants are able to lead healthy, active lives. There are athletic and non-athletic competition events – there is something for everyone!
