Donor Network West President and CEO Janice Whaley Recognized in San Francisco Business Times’ The Most Influential Women in Business of 2021

SAN RAMON, CA (October 28, 2021) – Donor Network West, the federally designated organ procurement organization (OPO) for northern California and northern Nevada, announced today that President and CEO Janice Whaley has been honored by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business of 2021. The honorees were unveiled in the October 8, 2021 issue of the San Francisco Business Times.

“I am honored to be a part of this year’s Most Influential Women in Business,” said Janice F. Whaley, President and CEO of Donor Network West. “This year’s honorees are some of the most talented, passionate and driven women I have met and I am grateful to be among them. Women play an important role in business and bring a unique perspective, different from that of their male counterparts. As the first African American woman to lead an organ procurement organization, I have had to create a path for myself that was non-existent before I started my journey, however I have made a commitment to ensure that as I laid each step, that I led the way for other women to follow and I will continue to do so throughout my professional journey.”

Honorees are top executives, C-suite leaders and entrepreneurs that exemplify creativity, passion, vision and perseverance.  Honorees span a variety of industries including technology, real estate, finance, hospitality, non-profits, law, medicine, education and more.
